Masters
We offer the only Master of Science in Systems Technology degree program in the South, and we have flexible options for you to earn your degree, including online enrollment.
The Master of Science in Systems Technology is geared for professionals in technology and engineering fields who want to meet required specifications for developing complex systems.
We want to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and cutting-edge tools for developing solutions to complex systems problems across different industries. Systems Technology utilizes broad-based mechanisms to develop the goals and requirements needed to solve highly complex problems, while considering both the economic and technical challenges of the system.
Our curriculum will also help you address issues related to solving a complete problem in design-life issues, like system implementation, operation, costs, design-life performance, personnel implications, and systems cost and benefit. We offer a 30-hour thesis option or a 33-hour project option, as well as a full online learning option.
For more information, read about our courses and critical courses, or email graduate coordinator Dr. Cherif Aissi for more information. Dr. Aissi can also be reached by calling 337-482-6971.
Completely Online or Face-to-Face Option
The program allows students to pursue the degree 100% online or with courses offered in a face-to-face, on-campus format. Students may complete either a 30-hour thesis option or 33-hour project option.
Because courses in the online program will only be available online, the online program may not be available to all applicants. The University of Louisiana at Lafayette and its online programs must be in compliance in every state where a student is located. (Visit the Online Programs website to learn more.) International students also may not be eligible. According to U.S. immigration regulations, F-1 students cannot pursue online degrees; international students in other visa categories (i.e., H-4, L2) are exempt from this restriction.
Tuition
Online students enrolled in 100-percent online programs pay a flat-rate, $480-per-credit-hour tuition. Additional course fees, including materials, labs and proctoring fees, are not included. Online students are not assessed additional operational and activity fees or out-of-state tuition.
